🎬 What. A. Weekend.
Action-packed from start to finish.

Finally got to fire up the new lighting grid over the blue screen at Overwatch Studio — and man, it did NOT disappoint. We created some insanely cool effects, and the cast & crew absolutely crushed it. Couldn’t ask for a better team.

Then Sunday rolled straight into another round of the Suncoast Podcast, featuring some incredible local business owners with powerful stories. 🔥

Busy weekend. Zero complaints.
Now I’m back in the editing bay bringing it all to life. 🚀

We got a very special project coming up this Saturday and I can’t wait to utilize my new lighting grid. I set the lighting up for our first scene that we’re gonna be shooting using my stand in Freddy. He’s dying to bring this to life.

Lighting grid = DONE ✅
Just mounted all the diffusers — and now the studio officially looks LEGIT.

It’s wild to think about…
I started filmmaking with a VHS camcorder — and after nearly 20 years of shooting professionally, I now have my own full-scale studio with a 40×20 ft blue screen cyclorama wall, built to take viewers anywhere we imagine.

And I’m just getting started.

Right now I’m only charging:

$100/hr (lights included)
$600/day for 3,200 sq ft of production space

You will not beat that anywhere.

If you want to shoot a music video, product video, social content, VFX scenes, cinematic cars — whatever you’re dreaming up…

More good news — this ridiculous little beast of a short film has finally been cleared for online release 🎬😂

When I was approached last year to produce/direct a story about a guy trying to date a woman who literally has a monster for a butt… I almost said “absolutely not.” I genuinely thought — this might be the most insane premise I’ve ever heard.

Then I read the script.

And I laughed. Hard.

So I brought my team on board — prosthetic butt monster and all — and we leaned into the chaos.

After a ton of work, zero sleep, a small budget, and a ridiculous amount of fun, I’m glad to see this thing finally gaining traction.

If you want a bizarre, comedic ride — give it a watch.

Today was a big win at Overwatch Studio.

We finally got the lighting grid installed — and I’m not gonna lie, it was more challenging than I expected.

Every bolt, every measurement, every tiny alignment matters when you’re building a professional studio space.

Huge shout-out to my guy Mo for helping make it happen.

Later this week I’ll be installing the lights that will specifically illuminate the blue screen cyclorama wall — giving us the precision + quality we need for clean VFX lighting from above.

In filmmaking… the small details are what add up to major differences in the final image.

🎙️ Wrapped Round Two of the Suncoast Podcast!

Absolutely exhausted — but so worth it. 💪
Today we had 14 incredible business owners come out to share their stories — what they do, why they love it, and who they serve.

Each conversation was filled with passion, heart, and hometown pride. I can’t wait to share these new episodes with everyone soon!

Now… time to crash. 😴

It’s hard to accept that one day, we’ll have to say goodbye to the people we love most. Life feels long, but it’s really not. I had 19 years with my father, and in just about a year, I’ll have lived as many years without him as I did with him.

I often think about how different life might’ve been — how much trouble I could’ve avoided, how much wisdom his guidance could’ve offered, and how many more memories we could’ve made together. But however short my time with him was, I cherished every moment — the good, the bad, and everything in between. I’m grateful that I can now pass the lessons he gave me down to my daughter.

I pray I live longer than 52, but more importantly, I’m thankful for every single day God allows me to wake up and create.

The rest of my life, I hope to use storytelling — through film and imagination — to inspire, heal, and awaken the light within others. To remind people that even in the darkest times, light still exists… always waiting to be seen.

The world can be harsh, but there is still love, hope, and kindness all around us. We just have to be anchors of light for one another — so none of us ever feel alone in the dark.
