Hey all-
A couple years back I broke up Sharkbite’s 1978 Trident TSM, as it was going to be impractical to get it out of the building to make way for our new Daking MKII (the studio was literally built around the TSM). I had thought I would rack up all of the channels and sell them as finished products, but two years later, I am realizing I will never be able to make time for that big of a project. So, I am now looking to sell off pairs of the channels raw ($500 gets you (1) mic pre and (1) EQ), for folks to rack up how they see fit. The mic pre features a Jensen Transformer, ~70 db of gain, and phase reverse. The eq features four bands, each with peak or shelving (40-500, 180-1.8k, 700-7.5k, 1.4-14k). The eq channel also has variable high and low pass filters (10-400 hz, 1k-25k), and filter/eq in/out. The console was in regular use at the time it was decommissioned, and most of the issues we had came from the overall infrastructure (interconnects, internal wiring, etc). That being said, these are vintage console strips that will need to be racked up and gone through, so I’m selling as is. If somehow one of the transformers was bad (I have no reason to believe they are) I would swap channels or give you a refund. Each pair will come with full documentation, including layout, schematic and component list. I absolutely loved this console, and many, many incredible records were made on it- both here and in it's previous existence. I would love to see it live on in your gear racks!
