In Richard Flanagan's latest novel FIRST PERSON, a millennial character when asked what she wrote says, "'Autobiography. It's what everyone writes now." That explains the title of my latest: PEOPLE YOU'VE BEEN BEFORE, NOT A MEMOIR, putting me solidly outside "everybody" and "millennials," too (by about fifty years). What a relief! After five days of travel-by-car from California, the 2019 Midwest Book tour got off to a great start at Lake Country Bookseller, Once Upon a Time Books, and Proctor, Minnesota's HOGHEAD DAYS. All were filled with Minnesota readers.
