This pandemic has really hit us and we can’t afford our bigcartel shop anymore 😢 THOSE BASTARDS DENIED OUR PPP LOAN!! But we plan to update our catalog of music on here tomorrow so you can venmo us -records if you want to buy some music from the Bay Area artists in our amazing collection of local bands. We wanna thank all the east bay rockers who have fueled this project y’all put in some work and keep us going. Online shops closed but we still have inventory and our little “lemonade stand” pop up shop which has been converted to allow for outside dining per covid-19 guidelines.

Neill Sullivan, the eviction happy landlord and Libby with her anti-tenant anti-homeless policies have been working together as a team to gentrify west oakland and force working class folks out of their homes with no where to go. All the while they pretend and fail to give back to our community 🤮 so we have to keep fighting! Come out on Sunday with your cars/bikes/skateboards/rollerblades to the SMC tenants council rally at 2pm to demand fair treatment of tenants, affordable housing for displaced oakland residents, cancellation of rent for those financially affected by covid-19, and a permanent seat at the negotiating table. We kick it off from shoreline park and end at city hall.

Sullivan management company is a notoriously evil landlord here in oakland who owns over two hundred properties in my surrounding area that he bought up in the 2008 financial crisis and is the face of gentrification. Neil Sullivan Management Company has evicted around 70 households a year while he lives a charmed life as a trust fund kid in a mansion in Malibu. We have organized as tenants for the right to come to the negotiating table with us and need help with our first action to achieve rent forgiveness for those who are unable to pay during this pandemic. Hi! My name is ___ and I'm calling in solidarity with the SMC Tenants Council. I understand you have refused to recognize or negotiate with the council around rent forgiveness during the pandemic and rent reduction for 12 months after it ends. Housing is key to our collective survival of the pandemic. Your tenants are suffering from this global health crisis and economic recession. They are far more vulnerable to this crisis than the hedge fund managers and billionaires profiting off their rent. Instead of sending them to beg from government programs and charities, I urge you to take action now and negotiate with the council in good faith. Give them the relief they deserve.

To stand in solidarity with protesters who are risking their lives for anti-racist systemic change on the front lines we will be donating all money from digital sales of our record to the Bay Area Anti-Repression Committee Bail fund today (today bandcamp doesn’t take a cut) and for the foreseeable future. We are hella inspired by black leadership and the unity they have built to bring people from all races and backgrounds across the entire country together to fight for change and justice.
