Good morning! Today is MRI day, wish me luck. Praying no surgery will be needed on my shoulders. Believe I may have torn muscles on each shoulder. Right shoulder took the brunt of the fall. Crossing fingers.
On a positive note, medical team is coming together great. Cardiologist and Dr Sherriff will be heading the cardiologist team, endocrinologist Dr Kim now set up to get my glucose readings from trail with Dexcom G7
P*P Dr Fox will be point of contact for generic issues while on trail.

Almost done with teeth, pulling last three teeth and then onto implants or dentures. Consultation next week.

Feel like finally getting put back together. Give praise to my lord Jesus Christ, not one broken bone!

Labs are spot on, meds adjusted and down to only three meds from 8.

Stay tuned a lot happening and exciting news coming ๐Ÿ‘

Well cardiologist went well. Only need to lower my cholesterol. Said heart is strong, having me bring my pack in next week to do some work on the tread mill for some incline tests and can resume with no restrictions. The Sierras still holding 62 inches of snow, so we got time as hikers are reaching Kennedy Meadows, but having to wait out the snow melt. Never say never! Never give up! Be back on trail soon!

Heart attacks, busted teeth, hyper extended shoulders, equipment being replaced, frost bite, 4 weeks of straight winter weather with up to 90 mile gust winds, 24-36โ€ of fresh snow, but like most diabetics, we keep moving forward! Stay tuned as we prep to return to trail and complete this 8000 mile journey!

*** update*** so glad I came home to wait out the snow and get checked. Been having heart attacks for the last week, or one long one. Admitted to ER, and they are doing their stuff. Dr said if all goes well I can be back on trail in. Few weeks. Just in time to hit trail and get past the 12 feet of total snow fall that the Sierras were dumped on in the last week.
No rest for the weary! The trail is calling!
