We say YES! it helps to bring out the kid in everyone. It gives people something to hold in their hands instead of their phones and join in on the fun! It also adds to the party atmosphere and gives people permission to be a little silly.

Here's to you!
Not sure where to start when it comes to writing the perfect toast or speech? Here's a few tips to help you with the big moment!

- Keep it to 3 minutes or under.
- Remember that you're there to honor the newlyweds. Funny stories are great but share them with the dignity of your favorite couple in mind.
- Hold the microphone 2-3" away from your mouth always and address everyone in the room.
- Feeling stage fright? No problem. Don't make eye contact with the audience. Instead scan the room and look at the tops of their heads as you scan the room. To the audience, it's very engaging and looks like you're talking right to them.

And last but not least, mic drops can be purchased for $1K.

Wedding DJ Prices

Many of you have been asking about wedding DJ prices and to help you with your budget, I want to help take the guess work out of the planning process for you!

Wedding DJs in CT in 2025 typically range between $1800-$5000 respectively. Why the broad range in pricing? There are some factors to consider.

#1 Availability:
Top tier DJs book their services quickly and especially on Saturdays in the months of June-November during our peak of the wedding season. The same goes for many of your other vendors as well.

#2 Level of service:
There is a DJ for every need available. CT has a very diverse selection of DJs that specialize in a variety of things. Some DJs offer a high energy experience with lots of interaction and enhancements to really make your wedding POP! Some DJs are more traditional and take a more conservative approach with interaction. And then there's some DJs that are right in the middle.

#3 Pricing Structure:
Some DJs put all inclusive packages together and price accordingly. Some offer A La Carte offerings so that you can fully customize your experience. Also, some require 50% deposits and payment in full the day of. And others might offer convenient payment plans to help make paying for your DJ more manageable.

#4 Experience Level:
Just like #2, the diversity in DJ styles and experience is very broad. DJs and vendors that have experience with the venues & other core vendors you've chosen tend to be a more reliable option. If you're going with a top tier venue, you want top tier vendors working there that know how to give you the best end result and with the peace of mind of having the equipment and experience to execute a flawless celebration.

#5 Your Guest List Size Doesn't Matter:
Every wedding that we host is the Superbowl. We have one opportunity to get it right. What this means is that your wedding is VERY IMPORTANT to us regardless of the size and the level of service and professionalism does not change depending on how many people you invite. If your wedding is 20 people or 800 people, we want everyone to be able to enjoy the celebration.

#6 The cost of doing business:
Just like your venue, Wedding DJs are a business like any other and not to be confused with a hobby or side hustle. To do our job correctly, we need to invest in quality professional grade equipment that is reliable to ensure your wedding will run smoothly. Backups and redundancies for peace of mind. Trucks, Vans, & Trailers to transport equipment and staff that are meant to haul very heavy equipment. Insurance to protect your investment. Marketing and advertising. Taxes. Commercial property or storage for equipment. Office expenses. And lastly, payroll. With each wedding we host, we dedicate about 30 hours between prep, meetings, driving to the venue, setup, breakdown, & the wedding itself. We can't walk in cold and offer perfection. Theres much more to hosting a wedding than hitting play.

Pro Tip: How to choose the right DJ for your wedding
Start searching early. The sooner you begin your search, the more likely you will be able to choose the DJ you want as opposed to settling for the DJ that's left.

Do your due diligence. Read their reviews, ask your other vendors about the DJs you are considering. Just because they have a lot of followers on Instagram doesn't mean they're the best fit for YOUR wedding. You want and deserve quality for your investment.

Don't plan your wedding dj budget before you search. This is very important. If you talk to your parents that were married 30 years ago and ask them what they paid, keep in mind that prices 30 years ago and today are not the same. Also, the DJ that you see at a bar or club may or may not be a wedding DJ/MC. Nightlife work and weddings are 2 very different environments and it's important to understand that. Instead, interview the DJs that you feel would be a good fit and make your decision on what their value proposition is and how it fits with the celebration you are planning.
