Why? Well simply - because I donโt have to.
I am not currently accepting new clients - unless in one specific niche and package. In addition to my business, I have a family. A passion for horses. And a life. I usually invest whatever excess time I have, into these vital aspects of my life.
However I am extremely passionate about my clients - I meld myself into their businesses, becoming a part of their struggles - and a piece of their triumphs.
Recently I have seen countless โMarketing companiesโ pop up claiming that they have exactly what YOU need to bring your business to the next level of success. They. All. Claim. The. Same. Thing.
If it was that easy - I guarantee you, businesses would simply hire within or learn to do it themselves.
Recently because of my lack of knowledge on specific SEO & Backlink tasks outside of my realm of expertise, I looked to vet and outsource for a client. We contacted the supposed โexpertsโ in this specific industry - requesting their proposals of how exactly they would do - what we needed. And many proposals we did indeed receive. Beautiful, well put together slides - a little research here and there and giant costs attached to all.
For all of them I had two simple questions.

Crickets. Sidesteps. Stutters. Statements that they would have to contact their supervisor to see if they are allowed to share such data. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ ๐คฏ
Want to know how I closed 9 out of 10 clients I ever presented a proposal too?
DATA. I explained to them what I did - why I did it - why it worked - and showed evidence of it working. If my clients were not comfortable with their name being shared, I blurred it out. I then showed them Exactly HOW I did it.
That last piece was key. If they then took that information and ran with it to attempt on their own - then more power to them. But, they didnโt. They signed on with me. And for the highest package I have available.
Usually a company needing tools such as Social Media Marketing, Content Writing, SEO, Backlinks, Digital Ads, Print Ads, Online Ticketing Platforms, Website Designs, Funnels, Email Marketing, Graphic Design, Wholesaling etc - Well usually, they are not going to want to do it themselves. They have a business to run - and they want it done correctly, efficiently and with someone who can show the proof in the pudding. They not only want to outsource it, they NEED to.
So I implore you. As a digital marketing โexpert.โ Show your potential clients the proof. The Steps. The Why. This will establish trust - clarity, and belief in you before they even sign on.
And as a potential client - ask the right questions! Nearly every client I have - had prior marketing companies working for them that emptied their pockets, leaving them frustrated, without scaling their business - and even at times with broken websites now needing to be repaired by a new business.

How do they do it - What applications do they use - Why does it work. How long will it take?
If they are not fully open and willing to discuss this with you, run!
๐ Take notes. Then google those notes. Find out if what they say works - actually works. For often times what they say will sound so clever, and yet be completely inapplicable or a poor outdated idea to invest in.
