🌱 HATCHING EGG PREORDERS OPEN! 🥚🐓

We are now taking preorders for fertile hatching eggs! Orders will be filled in the order they are received. I can typically fill about 1 dozen of each breed per week.

📍 Local pickup only (no shipping at this time)
Meet-up location: Rural King, Ocala FL
💰 Payment: CashApp or Venmo only
🚫 No chicks available right now (but keep an eye out, an assorted mix will be going into the incubator soon)

Buff Orpingtons - $40/dozen

BBS Marans + Olive Eggers - $40/dozen

Easter Eggers - $30/dozen

Salmon Faverolles - $30/half dozen (limited availability)

Hen’s Choice Rainbow Dozen - $40 (a surprise mix of whatever the ladies lay that week, with something from every pen)

Orders are prepaid and filled on a first come, first served basis

Once I confirm your order, you will have 30 minutes to send payment. If payment is not received in that time, I will move to the next person in line

No special requests at this time since availability depends on laying and fertility

PSA:
Wednesday would like everyone to know that if another hen is laying an egg in your favorite spot, it is absolutely socially acceptable to lay your egg right on top of them.

Boundaries? Never heard of them.

And yes, that's an empty paint bucket and yes, that has been deemed the "favorite" spot to lay eggs.

Tomorrow is *hopefully* hatch day for the incubator babies!

I have Salmon Favorelles, Buff Orpingtons and BBS marans in it that I'll be brining to the Dunnellon Feed and Farm Swap on Saturday + hatching eggs!

What should I load the incubator up with next?
I'm thinking more buffs and BBS marans but maybe some olive eggers?

We're doing this fun thing called "chaos gardening" this year...which basically means, I threw it in the garden and wished it luck. So far, the potatoes seem to be doing wonderfully!

Soooo sorry for not being active!

We added a new little chick to the coop on March 20th and as per usual, it's chaos on the homestead!

I'll be announcing hatching eggs we have available and should have chicks by the end of the month as well! "

We no longer guarantee hatch rates for hatching eggs. There is too much user error possible and recently have had a situation where someone claimed none of our eggs hatched but were posting pictures that clearly show birds from our breeding stock.

We have incredible hatch rates, both with broody hens and in the incubator and we are always testing for fertility and ensuring all the birds are healthy.

Angel is broody! She has about a dozen EE eggs under her right now (all blue eggs). So we'll have chicks in about 21 days.

I also have OE, marans, and salmon favorelles and buff orpingtons hatching in about a week.

Oh and I have several month old (most if not all look to be pullets) grow outs that will be getting pictures taken soonish after I *finally* decide on who is staying and who's going to the farm swap.

I am also SWIMMING in hatching and eating eggs!
