Just a quick little life update:

If I owe you a message, pickup time, egg update, or anything farm-related, I promise I am not ignoring you.

We have been dealing with some really stressful issues with the sellers and seller’s agent for what we are hoping will be our future homestead. Between that, regular life, and everyone here still needing me, my mental bandwidth is just about gone.

To make things even more ridiculous, literally none of the pens are laying right now. Whether it's the brutal heat, stress, molting, or some secret chicken conspiracy, I have no idea. We've actually had to buy eggs from the grocery store for our own family because the girls have apparently decided they're on strike.

I promise I will get back to everyone and take care of everything as soon as I have a little more room to breathe.

Thank you for being patient with me while we try to get through this final stretch. We appreciate it more than you know. 🤎

Happy first day of spring from our homestead 🌱🤎

It feels really good to be back here after taking a little time to slow down and be present with our family.… especially today, as we celebrate our littlest “chickie” turning ONE. This past year has been slower, fuller, and so deeply rooted in home, and I’m so excited to get back into sharing this part of our life again.

With the season changing and everything coming back to life, it feels like the perfect time to open things back up…

We are now taking preorders for fertile hatching eggs. Orders will be filled in the order they are received, and we can typically fill about 1 dozen of each breed per week.

Wednesday would like everyone to know that if another hen is laying an egg in your favorite spot, it is absolutely socially acceptable to lay your egg right on top of them.

Boundaries? Never heard of them.

And yes, that's an empty paint bucket and yes, that has been deemed the "favorite" spot to lay eggs.
