‘The Heritage Bridges of Fannin County’ is the companion article to a micro-documentary we did last year for the YouTube series There’s History Around Every Bend titled ‘The McCaysville Magical Mystery Steel Bridge’.

It tells the story of sleuthing the facts as to what really happened to an old 150 foot long steel bridge in the North Georgia Mountains that local folk tales had claimed was left in place and would now be under more than 120 feet of Blue Ridge Lake’s waters.

We are doing micro-documentaries on history topics titled 'There's History Around Every Bend'.

The idea is pretty much everywhere you go, there are nuggets of history awaiting discovery. We find these historically interesting stories and produce a small documentary about them.

We are currently researching several different stories and will plan on releasing them approximately every three months.

Why are we doing it? Because it's fun!

Big news from the producers of Talkin’ Money

Our new TV show Talkin’ Money Minutes features a fun, quirky noir-style detective named Frank Money who sleuths financial literacy topics for an audience of all ages.

So what’s our ‘Big News’? We are excited to announce that Talkin’ Money Minutes will premier on Public Television Stations nationwide beginning in Spring, 2019 distributed through American Public Television (APT) and WUCF, Orlando, FL.

This new TV series, features episodes between 2-3 minutes in length, that will air between other public television programs much in the style of the ‘Star Gazers’ series currently airing on over 200 stations nationwide. Season One is already completed and features eighteen episodes. APT licenses programming to over 300 public television stations nationwide.

Early pre-production for a second season of 26 episodes is now underway as well as a search for a national corporate underwriter for the series.

Seeing this footage we shot in 1999 quite a bit this week during coverage of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, FL. We worked with Mr Palmer on three different occasions for Office Depot as part of their "Takin' Care of Business" campaign. It's interesting to see that footage all these years later being used in bios about Arnold Palmer. He was a pleasure to work with.

It's that time again! Once every four years we are 'polled' about our choice for the leader of the free world.

We did this short film - 'Vote Early, Vote Often' in 2000 and it went on to premiere at Paramount Studios at the Hollywood Film Festival in California.

When we decided we wanted to do a short film, we set about coming up with the idea for the film by establishing some creative constraints to make production manageable.

The main constraint was to develop an idea that could be shot in one shooting day in our studio. So we built a set which was basically an 8x8 'closet' with removable walls and in one long 12 hour day, shot the entire film. This was, by the way, shot on actual film!

The film featured actor Todd Allen Durkin, who did an amazing job memorizing all of the crazy dialogue and interacting with a 'mechanical voice'.

The film was written by Bob Small and Steve Procko - Bob and Steve have gone on to create Talkin' Money, an Emmy award-winning financial literacy television show.
