Boys Toy (59' Duffie) Update:
The 59' has made significant progress since our last update. Following a successful hull flip, the build out of the engine room began to take place, followed by final paint by our fairing and paint team. Once paint was complete, rigging and installation of dual 10V2000 MTU engines, a 20kW Northern Lights generator and other various mechanical and electrical systems took place in the engine room. The aft and bow fuel tanks, holding around 1,550 gallons of fuel total, were then installed allowing our hull and carpentry team to fit and install the cockpit deck, the bow deck and cabin into place.
Once the bow deck, cockpit deck, and cabin were permanently fit and attached to the hull, the interior team then began to start the build out of the lower interior, gradually making their way up to the interior salon. The 59' will feature an interior layout consisting of 1 master stateroom, 4 bunks up forward, a crew bunk room, 2 heads and a tackle area consisting of 2 freezers and ample storage space. The lower interior and salon build out is now well underway and continues to progress considerably each day.
Our hull crew has also been hard at work installing the hull vents, fish box, salon windows, tow and rub rails and lastly the build out of the mezzanine that is now nearing completion.
The electrical department is currently in the process of putting the finishing touches on the interior and wiring of the main panel, as well as finalizing electrical components throughout the engine room and bridge controls.
With only a few months to go and final preparations in tow, be sure to follow along and check out our website for all the latest progress and updates!
