This is the playlist from last evening’s program of The Haze on WEES. RIP and thanks to Mark Volman for his life in music with the Turtles, and as Flo of Flo and Eddie, a journey taken with his partner in song, Howard Kaylan. As promised, the entertaining (and alarming) video of the two of them describing their managerial woes can be found at You Tube under “Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman of the Turtles talk about their managers.” For insight into the sometimes seamy underside of sixties music and a taste of the humor that the two nevertheless always brought to the microphone, it is well worth your five minutes. Thank you again for listening.

Great news!
The WEES stream is back- and so is The Haze, tonight at 7 p.m. ET!

Ten years ago, Tedeschi Trucks Band led a star-studded tribute to Joe Cocker’s 1970 Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour at LOCKN’. With Leon Russell, Rita Coolidge, Claudia Lennear, Dave Mason, Chris Robinson, Warren Haynes & more- it was pure magic. The long-awaited live album Mad Dogs and Englishmen Revisited (Live at LOCKN’) just dropped- hear highlights tonight (with a little something with his friends from Joe himself).

Also:
Fresh reissues with rare bonus tracks from John Prine, Bruce Springsteen, the Who and others.
Salutes to Mark Volman (The Turtles and Flo & Eddie), and Bobby Hart (of Boyce & Hart fame).
Plus many more classics, all delivered to you in three commercial-free hours.

Tune in TONIGHT, 7-10 p.m., ET:
Local broadcast: 107.9 FM (Ocean City, MD)
Stream: wees.org
Apps: TuneIn, Simple Radio
Smart Amazon devices: “Alexa, play WEES radio.”

Thanks for your patience while we chased down the technical gremlins. Hope you’ll join me tonight!
