This is the playlist from last night’s program of The Haze on WEES, part two of a tribute to the work of the greatest songwriters of the musical era that we celebrate each week on the show. Because of the nature of the program, for each selection listed, I have first noted the name of the songwriter or songwriting team being saluted, even if he or she collaborated on the particular song with others. Tomorrow (Thursday) evening, from 7 to 10 p.m. Eastern on WEES, on The Haze,I will present part two of my tribute to the greatest songwriters of the 60s, 70s and 80s. In some cases, we will hear the composer’s original vision of the song, followed by the more familiar final version so you can see for yourself what the songwriter intended before it was snatched from him or her and cynically molded into a hit.

If you’re in the greater Ocean City, Maryland area, tune in right here at 107.9 FM. Or, you can again stream us anywhere via the link at www.wees.org, Tune In, Simple Radio, or just say to your Amazon device: “Alexa, play WEES radio.”

Yes, The Haze will be back after your host took a brief sabbatical to witness live the artistry of Richard Thompson. We also will hear from him Thursday night, improbably covering a long-lost but worthy track by a much missed 60s group.

Please join me for all this and more, in three solid, commercial-free hours of terrific music.
