The highlight of my Mexico City trip was my day spent at Aura Cocina Mexicana Aura Cocina Mexicana - Aura Mexican Cooking ! I booked the Essence of Mexico class and market tour and had a phenomenal time.

Chef pame* Ortiz  was our teacher for the day and explained the key ingredients we needed to make our multi-course meal. We were able to stop and see fresh tortillas being made and then went to Mercado Medellín to get more background on what ingredients we would be using and had a few tastings 👀🐜

Once we got back to the cooking school we learned how to control the spice levels of our salsas, make our own tortillas, and fold our tamales. My favorite part was obviously eating everything we made along with the mezcal and w**e tasting!

When I return to Mexico City I will definitely be booking another class here! 😋

My 6 year old is on a mission to read 100 books this summer and yesterday we read Dim Sum Here We Come! by Maple Lam . So of course we had to try it out for dinner!

Thanks to some recommendations from Tik Tok we tried Brother Seafood (Brother Seafood Restaurant ) in Cherry Hill and loved it 😋. Now the kids want to try dim sum throughout the area. I love being able to learn alongside of them and try new things. If you have recommendations on where to try next send them my way!

Our private tour with The Soul of New Orleans was the highlight of my New Orleans Trip. It was a great mix of history, culture, food and fun. The private option allowed us to have more flexibility in what areas we wanted to explore and gave us a more authentic experience than just staying in the typical tourist areas.

This tour felt so much like feeling at home. It felt like visiting my aunts and uncles. It felt like seeing my cousins. I loved every minute of it! Highly recommend booking if you visit New Orleans.
