Even though it's fall, we're still harvesting tomatoes around here (isn't everyone?) so we're taste testing and reporting on the new varieties we're growing from . These cherry tomatoes will be new for 2026 so here's a sneak preview.

Our plan is to harvest every tomato we can before the plants completely slow down and stop producing now that the daylight lengths and temps are changing here in our PNW zone 9a garden.

Featured cherry tomatoes:
🍅Unicorn Yellow F1 cherry tomato
🍅Sugar Basket Orange F1 (our favorite)
🍅Sugar Basket Red F1

Btw, both of the Sugar Baskets are super tiny plants and they would be great for hanging baskets or containers. The Unicorn Yellow is an indeterminate and a super producer so give it some room to grow! So much tomato sauce making in our future!!

Small containers are beneficial for so many reasons, mainly due to the fact that they can fit just about anywhere. They tuck into spaces otherwise too tight for a large planter, like a dark corner, or placed in front of or between several, larger containers.
