24 Suns, a restaurant with 24 different menus, 24 solar turns, throughout the year. A mingboggling undertaking, reflecting how serious the chefs behind this concept are. The constantly updated ingredients and offerings reflect what’s fresh during each microseason and represent the cooking styles from multiple regions of China—the long forgotten techniques showcased at pop-ups and now a brick and mortar in Oceanside. ☀️

Chef-owners extraordinaire, Nic Webber and Jacob Jordan, formerly of Michelin three-starred Addison and, prior to that, acclaimed Benu and Frasca, respectively, create beautiful and masterful dishes, going all in with flavor and flair, flawlessly. 🤌

Tomorrow night, a dream collaboration. Uka Sake is joining Matsu’s Chef William Eick and sake sommelier Kim Roxas for a spectacular six-course pairing dinner.

On offer: three organic Junmai Daiginjo sakes, a specially crafted Uka Black Label sake cocktail made by the drink master himself and toothsome Japanese dishes by Chef Eick himself. A perfect Wednesday night.

Uka Sake is elegantly crafted from its proprietary KR55 rice, Kokuho Rose, in partnership with Ninki Shuzo based in Fukushima, Japan. By blending California-grown rice from the state’s oldest Japanese-American family-owned rice farm with pure snowmelt water from Fukushima, Uka perfectly blends the best of both worlds.

We’re fortunate to work with amazing clients like The Vibrant Project, who treated us to a Friday lunch at one of their fantastic restaurants in Old Town San Diego, Special thanks to for having us! We couldn’t get enough of the Al Pastor tacos and loved trying their new Chorizo & Wagyu Smash Burger and a sip of The Tropic Like It’s Hot cocktail, it was the perfect match for the jungle-themed atmosphere. Coming to South Oside this September. ☀️ Husband-and-wife team Aaron Crossland and Lauren Crossland-Marr bring the concept of “la merenda” – a snack shared amongst friends – to Aaron’s hometown with this new venture.

A wine shop, featuring low-intervention, sustainable and truly fun wines from both, and toothsome bites, this slice of Europe, where Crossland and Crossland-Marr lived for a year, will be a go-to for novice and expert wine lovers alike. 🍷

The Merenda spirit is already poppin’ with more elite food & bev additions, including beverage director Heidi Greenwood (Herb & Wood, Cucina Urbana) and Chef Travis Hayden (Rustic Canyon) as chef advisor and front of the house boss Ash Bergeron (Wrench & Rodent Seabasstropub).
