Every 3rd Sunday, the North County Fishermen's Market sets up in the Oceanside Harbor from 8-2 to bring local seafood and fun for the community! At 11am Chef Davin Waite leads a culinary presentation, providing education, entertainment, and delicious bites! Be sure to check it out!

KOCT had the chance to chat with some artists painting the sights in the Oceanside Harbor today! This was a part of the Oceanside Museum of Art’s Artist Alliance“Plein Air Paint Out”. Artists were invited to come out and enjoy the sun and sea breeze, while painting anything that caught their eye! Look out for the Plein Air Festival coming in September!

The Oceanside Intl Film Festival will be back with a very special event at The Star Theatre on Saturday, August 2nd. The Festival will Present a Screening of the Music Documentary, ‘The Opener’, Co-Directed by Jeff Toye & Sunya Mara. The Film will be Proceeded by a Q&A Discussion with the Filmmakers, as well as Jason Mraz & Philip Labes, who’ll also be Providing a Musical Performance Live on Stage! It was a busy weekend in Oceanside! KOCT had the chance to drop by Jitters Coffee Pub's "Re-Grand Opening" at their Summer Bash this last Saturday! The community gathering is kicking off the start of new hours, giving Jitters the extra time to host all kinds of entertainment!
A revamped menu, live music, comedy sets, workshops, DJ sets, Taco Tuesdays and more await! The gang at Jitters Coffee Pub is excited to bring you this next step!

Oceanside's 37th Annual Samoan Culture Celebration is having a big event today in the Jr. Seau Amphitheater and KOCT stopped by! With music, food, vendors and dance, the celebration wants to bring attention to the history and presence of Samoan Culture in Oceanside
The event is ongoing until 9pm tonight, and there's a cup-stacking event tomorrow, July 13th, so be sure to check it out if you can!

KOCT checked in with the Oceanside Junior Lifeguards at their Banquet today in Buccaneer Park to hear a bit about the program! Junior Guards is one of the cities best performing programs, with about 400 kids enrolled between session 1 and 2.

The Junior Guards provides kids with many opportunities for growth and learning, and this banquet is the communities way of congratulating them for it! See you next summer!
