KOCT had our good friend Billy Galewood swing by the The Brooks Theater, Oceanside to check out news of a magic show in town! Master illusionist Mark Paskell is bringing a night of surprising spectacle and exciting illusion, fun for the whole family to enjoy!

This one-night-only event is taking place at 8pm on August 1st, with a no host happy hour at 5pm. Tickets are on sale for $25 dollars on the Oceanside Theatre Company website, and all proceeds go towards the City of Oceanside Public Library programs!

Every 3rd Sunday, the North County Fishermen's Market sets up in the Oceanside Harbor from 8-2 to bring local seafood and fun for the community! At 11am Chef Davin Waite leads a culinary presentation, providing education, entertainment, and delicious bites! Be sure to check it out!

KOCT had the chance to chat with some artists painting the sights in the Oceanside Harbor today! This was a part of the Oceanside Museum of Art’s Artist Alliance“Plein Air Paint Out”. Artists were invited to come out and enjoy the sun and sea breeze, while painting anything that caught their eye! Look out for the Plein Air Festival coming in September!

The Oceanside Intl Film Festival will be back with a very special event at The Star Theatre on Saturday, August 2nd. The Festival will Present a Screening of the Music Documentary, ‘The Opener’, Co-Directed by Jeff Toye & Sunya Mara. The Film will be Proceeded by a Q&A Discussion with the Filmmakers, as well as Jason Mraz & Philip Labes, who’ll also be Providing a Musical Performance Live on Stage!
