The newly remodeled Dunkin’ at 3151 Lawson Blvd. in Oceanside reopened in style on June 21 — and celebrated with a $3,000 donation to Long Island Cares, helping to provide nearly 1,900 meals for food-insecure Long Islanders.

Yves “J.P.” Jean-Pierre has guided generations of Oceanside High students — including this year’s valedictorian — through algebra, calculus, and life lessons.

For over two decades, the educator hasn’t taken a single sick day. His motivation? A deep belief in every student’s potential and a lifelong passion for teaching.

Next year, he plans to retire — but not before leaving behind one final gift: plans to build a model school in his native Haiti.
