This is the official press release for Kidney For Phil. It lays it all out. The Stage 5 kidney failure I’m fighting, the search for a living donor that could literally save my life, the Benefit Soirée we’re putting together for my birthday on July 11, and every way a person can step up, whether that’s getting tested, coming out, giving, or just hitting share.

Most of you already know me. You know my story, and you have shown up for me in ways I will never be able to repay. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. The love from this circle has been carrying me.

But here’s the hard truth. My circle, as beautiful as it is, is not big enough to find me a kidney. The person who matches me might be someone I have never met. Someone a few cities over. Someone who follows a news station, not me. That is why this has to travel past the people who already love me.

So here’s my ask. Tag EVERY media outlet you can think of. Local news, radio, the morning shows, reporters, community pages, all of them. And if you scroll and see somebody already tagged them? TAG THEM AGAIN. Then tag them again after that. Be relentless.
For almost 20 years I have helped this community tell its stories through podcasting. I have spent my whole career putting the spotlight on other people. I never thought I would be the one asking for it. But I am asking now. For me. For my son Dominic. For the chance to keep being his dad.

This post cannot go unseen. I am not being dramatic. My life literally depends on the right person seeing it.
