Sept. 11 is known throughout America as Patriot Day . On this day, we remember and honor all those who were lost on that day 24 years ago. Today also reminds us of the brave generation of veterans who answered the nation’s call after 9/11. As these courageous veterans continue to age, their unique needs are growing. It’s our duty to ensure they receive the care, benefits and support that they’ve earned through their service.

This is why you need to stay on trail!! I've hiked Franklin and shouldn't be under estimated.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Air and Marine helicopter was called in this weekend to rescue an injured hiker in the Franklin Mountains.
