Ottawa Scarecrow Festival was awesome!

The scarecrows were well done, vendors were everywhere, smiles on kiddo’s faces in and out of the children zone, delicious food and drinks, and games and contests including a pie eating contest.

All the fun!!!!

The pie eating contest featured chocolate cream pies by The Homegrown Hobbyist, out of Marseilles. There was a kid round, a family round and two adult rounds with all proceeds donated to the Ottawa Community Food Basket.

Adele Bailey (first and second photos) 10, from Ottawa won the kid round while losing a tooth.

Evie (left, third photo) defeated her brother Hank and father Adam Anton in the family round.

Scott Danner (Illini shirt, fourth photo) was quicker than Bianca Danner and Dave Martin.

Starved Rock Media’s Mark Lippert (SRM polo, fifth photo) barely beat, left to right, Hallee Loza, William Loza and Sonique Ferguson.

Come and eat pie at the main stage on Jordan Block at noon, Saturday, October 4th, to raise money for the Community Food Basket of Ottawa! $10 a person to compete, $40 for the 5 person team relay. 100% of ALL proceeds raised from registration goes right to the food pantry!
