Calvary Cemetery Dayton

Calvary Cemetery Dayton Overlooking the Miami River, Carillon Park and the beautiful skyline of Dayton Ohio Thus Calvary exceeds the Ohio law requirement by over three times.

It may be a comfort and assurance to you to know that Calvary has placed 33.3% of proceeds from each lot sale into an Endowed Care Fund since its inception and continues to do so today. This insures that Calvary will be able to care for this sacred property long into the future. By comparison, Ohio law requires “For Profit Cemeteries” to place only 10% of their proceeds into this type of fund.

Calvary Cemetery Dayton is proud to partner with high quality, local businesses like Longworth Property Services LLC when we are doing improvements to the cemetery grounds. The entire St. Henry Memorial Chapel area has newly poured roads and either new or improved curb. Additionally the northern entrance hill has had a large section replaced where the road was becoming dilapidated. Calvary features roughly 7.5 miles of 2 lane roads which makes us different than most other cemeteries. We are dedicated to the continued maintenance of our vast infrastructure and proud to invest in the future.

Another monument restoration completed this week by our grounds crew. This monument is older than Calvary itself! It is one of the many memorials moved during the transition from St. Henry's Cemetery to the grounds here at Calvary. ❤️

Our Story

Located in the picturesque southern hills of Dayton, immediately adjacent to Carillon Park, Calvary Cemetery has been serving the Miami Valley since 1872. Founded in the tradition of the Catholic Church, today Calvary Cemetery opens its gates to all. Calvary is proud to be the region’s leader in natural burial, in addition to our traditional burial and cremation options. Today we are honored that over 80,000 families have entrusted Calvary Cemetery with the care of their loved ones. Come visit us today to discover how for generations Calvary has been creating community and celebrating lifetimes.
