On January 9th, 2023 a two vehicle incident occurred on Iverson Road in Chatsworth, CA. The vehicle incident involved a very large sinkhole likely caused by the major water downfall California has been receiving the last 3-4 days. A total of four people were involved and as of posting this only two were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
were all agencies involved in closing the street and rescuing the occupants.

| | On January 1st, 2023 a single vehicle traffic collision occurred on Victory Blvd in-front of Peirce College. and were on scene to the single vehicle accident which only one occupant inside. It was unknown what had caused the accident, but speed and rain were likely involved.

11/16/2022

| At approximately 10:50PM on November 15th, 2022 a vehicle fire occurred on the east-bound 118 freeway about ½ mile east from Kuehner exit. As arrived on scene they discovered a grey BMW sedan with the front engine compartment completely in flames, due to extremely high winds the fire quickly spread from the vehicle and went to nearby brush that started a 10x10 vegetation fire, units assigned to the vehicle fire reassessed the situation and requested for more assistance from other stations/engines. The vegetation fire was taken out approximately 15 minutes after it was called and no homes or people were harmed during it’s quick rampage.

The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown, but the occupants of the vehicle were only slightly injured but went AMA to be taken to a nearby hospital.

No other injuries or damages were reported at the time of writing.

| Approximately 1:50AM on the 118 West, on the Kuehner off-ramp a single vehicle collision occurred. and were first on scene as were occupied at another incident and unable to respond. As officials began arriving they discovered a white GMC Denali pickup truck had taken severe damage to the front as it appears it hit the side guard rail.
It is unknown how the incident occurred but approximately 30 minutes after the initial incident as Ventura County Fire was leaving the scene they were flagged down by someone on the side of the road of Kuehner which was later identified as a second occupant to the vehicle. It’s unknown why that person left the scene and was down the road but CHP Moorpark will take care of any investigation if necessary.

| Approximately 8:28PM on October 10th, 2022 a single vehicle collision occurred on the 118 Westbound Madera Offramp. Multiple calls came into for a black sedan that had flew off the off-ramp and into a ditch. As and arrived they discovered a black sedan in a ditch with one occupant. The occupant was extracted from the vehicle in unknown condition, but was taken via ambulance to Los Robles Hospital.
The crash took out the Madera off-ramp sign, including the guard rail and posts. This incident is still under investigation, and it is unknown what caused this incident.

| Approximately 3:05pm on September 27th, 2022 a structure fire was reported at a residential address on the 4800 block of Alamo St. As the fire department began arriving on scene they discovered a single store residential house almost fully engulfed in flames, this immediately upgraded the fire to a working fire and called for my engines/units to assist.

At the time of posting this there had been no deaths; we were unable to obtain information if there were injuries with anyone, but did receive confirmation of a deceased animal, but unknown what type of animal it was.

| Approximately 11:45pm on September 3nd, 2022 a brush fire was reported between the 118 eastbound and Easy St. As arrived on scene they had trouble locating the fire but could confirm smoke and glow were in the air indicating a fire was nearby, they requested air support to assist in locating the fire and stopping further progress of the fire. Air ops and ground crew members on scene were able to stop forward progress of the fire within 30 minutes, and only reached about a 100 x 100 fire at max. No injuries were reported at the time of posting, and it’s unclear what officially started it but likely to be a homeless encampment due to the amount of garbage in the area.

The incident name was . The fire has been contained, and should pose no threat to any structures or occupied land.

| Approximately 11:45PM on September 2nd, 2022 a single vehicle TC occurred on Santa Susana Pass Road, east of Rocky Peak Road Exit. Unknown cause of accident, no injuries, and conducted a DUI check on driver but did not arrest or cite which would likely indicate drugs/alcohol were not involved. (Opinion) Likely speed was a factor in this crash.

| (Post 2 of 2) Approximately 12:16pm on September 2nd, 2022 a brush fire was reported on 118 Eastbound about ½ mile west of Rocky Peak Rd exit. As Ventura County Fire Department arrived on scene they discovered approximately a 2 acre fire on the side cliff of the mountain and requested CHP - Moorpark to partially close the road to allow for more engines, including Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department to assist. As of this report there are no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The incident name was fire incident. The fire has been contained, and should pose no threat to any structures or occupied land.
