The most beautiful woman in the whole world made heaven her home this morning. My precious mama, my friend, my confidant and my hero. What a legacy she has made for us. She’s been mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother! The many lives she has touched over the years is almost beyond comprehension. She was beautiful inside and out! She was great at everything she tried to do, and she leaves a legacy of stubbornness too. Her physical health may have waned, but her faith in God gives peace knowing that she’s sitting at Jesus feet and she’s singing with the angels now. She made it home to heaven in time to celebrate her parents (my grandparents) anniversary with them tomorrow. Surrounded by family, her spirit peacefully left her weary earthly body, and she was given a brand new body totally free from worry and pain. She now waits for us while she rocks babies, sings with her mama and listens to her daddy’s wisdom. She feels no more pain, worry or dread. I admit I’m a little envious, but now it’s my turn to try to be at least half the woman she was. If I can do that, then I’ll be satisfied.

So it’s “Wait for me Mom, I’ll be there in the blink of an eye in your time now. But it’ll be a while down here for me. I’ve got a lot of work to do to be like you.”
