This new exhibit in Criss Library's Archives and Special Collections features books, drawings, and printing blocks from Harry Duncan's Cummington Press and UNO's Abattoir Editions. The exhibit runs through May 4, 2026 -- UNO Library lower level.

This event is geared towards letterpress printers, from beginners to professionals. It is a great opportunity for letterpress people to get together and talk, see demonstrations, get practical training on various pieces of equipment, and be able to buy (or sell off) equipment and materials.

The poet and activist was a leading figure of the Black Arts Movement. Giovanni was working on her upcoming book of poetry, set to publish in the fall.

It is a rainy warm day here in Omaha, peaceful and cozy on my press porch. I started the first 4-up run for Earthlings on Rainbows , poems by Nikki Giovanni. This book includes one new poem and fourteen others dating from 1990 to 2020. The book will be completed, I hope, next summer. -Denise
