Let's talk about something.
In 2026 in Oklahoma a minor of the age of 16 can, with parental consent, marry. A minor under 16 can be married with a court order.
I've never heard of a sensible reason for a child to get married. These politicians believe otherwise.
Trey Caldwell of District 63, Republican, in office since 2018.
Josh Cantrell of District 49, Republican, in office since 2022.
Rusty Cornwell of District 6, Republican, in office since 2018.
Derrick Hildebrant of District 23, Republican, in office since 2024.
Ryan Eaves of District 22, Republican, in office since 2024.
Tom Gann of District 8, Republican, in office since 2016.
Jim Grego of District 17, Republican, in office since 2018.
David Hardin of District 86, Republican, in office since 2018.
Neil Hays of District 13, Republican, in office since 2022.
Jerry Crosswhite Hader of District 41, Republican, in office since 2018.
Nick Archer of District 55, Republican, in office since 2020.
Steve Bashore of District 7, Republican, in office since 2020.
Carl Newton of District 58, Republican, in office since 2018.
Brian Hill of District 47, Republican, in office since 2018.
Justin Humphrey of District 19, Republican, in office since 2016.
If these are the decisions that these politicians are going to make for Oklahoma do we really want them? Is this what we want for our children? For our state lawmakers to make sure that they can be married off?
Some of these people aren't up for reelection until 2030. Food for thought.
