Got a fresh set of glass over here. Can't wait to get these on a project and provide some super buttery (maybe coconut oily) images!

These aren't Zeiss' primo cinema lenses, but I got inspired by old photo lenses and I feel these have that balance of sharpness, classic look, and altered realness that will offer a sublime glimpse of an altered reality.

I used to think that Cinematography was all about composition and cameras, but the true DPs (Directors of Photography) are nuanced and skilled at shaping light (or at trusting their gaffer to get them what they need).

The heaviest lifts in filmmaking are lighting wide shots, in my humble opinion. They take huge setups and big lights and lots of crew and time.

Lots of effort, but when the light hits right? 🤤🤌🏼

Me and Nita Fern been out here since Day 1 she's an OG (Original Grandma)

I'm super blessed to have had my grandparents be so interwoven into my experience and upbringing. They've only ever held it down and given all of us a sense of reliability and solidarity.

We were talking about how much the world has changed and how fast it's changing now, but ultimately if we look out for each other we can all contribute to a better existence all around.

Had a great lens test today with ! Thanks for the sesh man!

Nothing lets a stack a frame like an anamorphic lens. The real estate you get on the edges of the frame just sweetens every shot up wonderfully.

Long lenses really lend to a feel with the compaction they provide, but truly this kind of glass takes me to that filmic place faster than anything.

These Orions would look *fantastic* on a film set or a 🔥 music video. Don't sleep on that Anamorphic goodness.

I swear the more I see the more I'm sure, life and awareness is all about perspective.

What matters is where things are in relation to each other.

It's up to us to remove ourselves from painful stimulation and move towards fulfillment.

The ultimate fallacy is believing that you can't even attempt to shift.

The crazy part is it may come one tiny adjustment at a time.

A little late-night camera test with the Astounding Blackmagic Ursa 12K and
Amazing Sony FX6

It's incredible how such fantastic cameras are so accessible these days.

It's really important to see what these tools can do. A big part of being able to kit out a shoot is knowing which tools to utilize and how they'll interact with *ALL* the other aspects of the project.

I've shot on Arri (my personal preference), Sony (truly versatile - a workhorse), Panasonic (also workhorse - reliable as can be), Canon (what I came up on, 5D mk2 😆) RED (don't like their rollout, can't fault their results) and Blackmagic (the sleeper, as in I must be dreaming).

I consider myself fortunate for developing in places that gave me exposure (no pun) to so many great systems.

All things considered, it all comes down to the best camera *for the shoot*.
I don't care what we use, so long as it accentuates the visuals and conveys the story we want to tell.

Looking forward to trying whatever they come up with next... 🤨
