It's been some time since I've shared a portrait. Every portrait has such a special and heartfelt meaning to me despite never meeting the subject. I am always honored to be chosen.

I know the feeling of love. I know the feeling of loss. Combine the two and there is so much grief and sadness. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. It is all very personal. The loss of a pet is hard. They are not just a pet but a family member.

My heart goes out to this family. I hope I captured their handsome Gunner and beautiful Shelby perfectly. I hope they find some comfort when looking at this portrait. I hope it can take away some of the pain.

It's been so long since I've shared a portrait. I recently finished this beautiful boy, Zeus. Zeus has crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year. it's been such a tough time for his family as many of you know. Losing a pet is hard, harder than most would think. Afterall, our pets are our family. My love and prayers continue for the Bright family.

I took this sweet boy's photos when he was a puppy. I will include some in the comments. Such a handsome boy.

It's been awhile since I've picked up my pen and drew anything. I am waiting on some images of a couple sweet pups to be sent. But in the meantime, tell me what you would like me to draw. I will draw and offer it as a digital for purchase for just $15.

Do you ever just meet a dog that you bond with? Don't get me wrong, I bond with a lot of dogs including this pup's fur brother and sister. But Bud...he was just special. Such a goofy big guy who never failed to beg for belly rubs when I went to visit Flowers Farms. I simply adored this big lug, enjoyed all of his silliness and knew that I just had to draw him, not only for my closure, but primarily to help bring some comfort and peace to his humans (who I also adore).

Bud left earthside way too early in his life and crossed the Rainbow Bridge where I know he was welcomed by all those who went before him. There is something extra hard about losing a pup so young to illness. You feel as if you all and him were cheated out of so many years and memories. It's just not fair. Rest in peace big guy. I'm going to miss you!

Brandy Koenig-Flowers and Charley Flowers ...please know you are prayed for and thought of often. Bud truly was an exceptional dog and I know how much you miss him. He always brought a smile to my face. I hope you love this surprise and I will deliver a framed portrait to you as soon as I have it ready! ❤

Another "for me" drawing. ❤ There has been so much loss for me, my family, friends and so many over the past several years. The cardinal (to me) is a sign of hope, love and a message from a loved one. It's very special whenever I see one. I feel my loved one's presence.
