Congratulations Shai!

Congratulations to Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for being named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year! This honor has been bestowed annually since 1954, and Shai is the first Oklahoman to receive it as the named recipient.

This is also Shai’s first print Sports Illustrated cover and OKC’s first in seven years. (This feat has gotten more difficult since the magazine became a monthly. Of course, OKC has enjoyed digital covers, including one on our Olympic journey just two weeks ago.)
