Raise your hand if you've stood over a camp stove at 7am, still half asleep, wishing someone would just hand you a yogurt parfait. ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ

Good news: you don't have to cook a single thing on your next camping trip and still eat REALLY well.

I put together 59 no-cook camping meal ideas covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, AND dessert and yes, ice cream made the list. ๐Ÿฆ

From charcuterie boards around the fire to walking tacos and overnight oats, these are the meals your family will actually be excited about.

Which one is going on YOUR next camping menu? Drop it in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Nobody warned me that Gulf Shores, Alabama had a concert scene quite like this.

The Black Crowes and Whiskey Myers at the amphitheater while we were there. 10,000 seats. Open sky right on the gulf.

The doing what it's been doing for decades. Live music on restaurant patios up and down the coast every single night

And I got there for $44 non-stop from OKC. Just over 2 hours on and I was on the white as sand on the gulf.

The rest of the week look like this:
๐ŸŒŠLazy Beach mornings
๐ŸšฒCycling the Backcountry trails at Gulf State Park
๐Ÿ˜ Oyster farm tour on Fort Morgan peninsula
๐Ÿ“ธ Beach photo shot with .portraits
โ›บGlamping at steps from the Trails
๐Ÿ And a tiny Italian restaurant in Bon Secur () that has no business being that good.

Went with my daughter for my pre-birthday trip. Gulf Shores keeps giving me reasons to come back time and again

Full itinerary at the link in BIO.

Alabama's beaches are criminally underrated and the music scene is the part no one's talking about yet

Sleeping in a safari tent steps from the Gulf of Mexico might be my new favorite way to do a beach trip. ๐ŸŒฟโ›บ

sits right where Orange Beach meets Gulf State Park, and it is nothing like traditional camping. Think canvas walls, real beds with proper linens, a private en-suite bathroom, and air conditioning, because Gulf Coast summers are beautiful and also humid. Our stay included a firepit and s'mores kit, and we used both properly.

The location is what makes it genuinely special. You wake up with the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail system right outside your door with 28 miles of paved trails through some of the most beautiful coastal ecosystems in the South. Guests also get access to the Gulf State Park pool and sport courts.

If your family has ever said "I want to try glamping," this is the one. It hits the sweet spot between adventure and comfort in a way that actually works for the whole family.

Have you ever glamped at a beach destination? Drop a ๐Ÿ•๏ธ below!

Flew out of OKC at 5pm on a Tuesday. Two hours later I was watching the sun go down over the Gulf of Mexico with my daughter.

That's the thing nobody tells you about Gulf Shores. It's embarrassingly close, especially since Allegiant just launched a seasonal nonstop from OKC starting at $44 one way and I genuinely cannot explain how hard it will be to not book repeat trips this summer, especially since flying is cheaper than a tank of gas.

This trip was my pre-birthday trip. It was also just... a really good few days with my kid who is somehow an adult now and still willing to travel with me, which I do not take for granted.

๐Ÿ“Œ Day one looked like this:
Land, check into Embassy Suites right across from the Gulf Shores Public Beach, walk half a block to Lauria's By The Beach for dinner, frozen drinks, and live music.
๐Ÿ“Œ Day Two looked like this:
Wake up the next morning, have breakfast at the hotel, drive out to Fort Morgan peninsula and do an oyster farm tour at Admiral Shellfish Company, lunch nearby at Village Hideaway at The Beach Club Spa & Resort, enjoy the afternoon soaking up the sun on one of the beaches at Gulf State Park, before checking out and glamping the rest of the trip at Timberline in Orange Beach.
Dinner that second night was at Bolo Steak & Seafood on Canal Road. Chef-driven, locally sourced, the kind of place that makes you feel like you found something.

Alabama's beaches keep surprising me. More to come.
