Substack has created a way for writers/bloggers/businesses to create content that is financially supported by their readers or community.

I stayed away from this option because I was hesistant that I didn’t have anything to provide that would be worthy of having paid subscribers.

I still don’t know if I can answer that question with a fully confident YES! but what I can offer you is this:

I will do my best to make content that is encouraging, helpful, and resourceful. I have some ideas for living on a budget, homeschooling helps, personal reflections, and faith encouragement, as well as glimpses into our daily life as a homeschool family. ❤️

My subscription is set for $6/month & I would love to see you over there!!

Eventually, I hope to be able to provide discounts/resources, etc. for my paid subscribers only so be on the lookout for that. And even if you are not a homeschool family, I’d love to see you over there if you are just looking for some encouragement.

Thanking God for you all, and thank you in advance for supporting our family! 🙌🏽

One of the verses we taught our son to memorize this year is one that replays over and over for me now, especially when I see sights like these:

“God is the maker of the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them. He remains faithful forever.” Psalm 146:6

Praise to Him who always remains even when we forget. ❤️

St. Michael & All Angels Day.

Loved learning all about Michael the Archangel & how they serve our Lord. We visited for a noonday service and it was a wonderful way to mark the day.

Learning the Church’s liturgical calendar has deepened my connection to the Word, to Jesus, and to our history as Christians. It’s opened me up to asking more questions, seeking out the answers, and branching out of my comfort zone.

I’m so excited to keep learning these rhythms with my family and so thankful for the grace He has provided and is providing. ❤️

One of the stories that has appeared to me over and over again this year is the story of the Bleeding Woman.

This story is beautiful picture of God’s goodness and what can come from taking a step towards Christ.

I also included a few resources for exploring this story (including my current favorite prayer novena on & an episode of 🙌🏽)

I hope these words encourage you. ❤️

Some of our favorite resources for helping E to learn about the Word. Several of these we have had for years, but a couple we added this year and are loving. ❤️

First Bible Basics is a GREAT book from (I love their products!) that acts as a counting primer & an intro into basics of the Bible. The Pentateuch, the natures of God, etc.

TheOlogy & the are both so great for bringing the stories of God and the principles of our faith alive.

New City Catechism is a little but powerful book to introduce catechism to kids. I love how small this is so we can take it around with us.

I would love to know what resources you use for your kiddoes or something you love to being the Word and faith to your kids. We are always looking for good resources!

Happy Monday friends! 🙌🏽

Bread-making & listening to (I feel like I am attending a very fun literature class every episode I listen to- an absolute joy!)

Used Jim Lahey’s “No-Knead” recipe for the bread & it turned out perfect. ❤️

“Alice laughed. 'There's no use trying,' she said. 'One can't believe impossible things.'

I daresay you haven't had much practice,' said the Queen. 'When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. “

My husband bought this candle for me this week & I’m obsessed! makes all kinds of bookish candles and my favorite so far is ‘Alice in Wonderland’. 🎩🕰️🐇❤️🌹

Perfect fall morning candle. 🍂🍁☕️

Putting together some verses & poems for next week. The subject of “seasons” is pretty abstract for Emmett right now, so to make it more tangible, we are going to incorporate it with our Letter S unit work for next week. 🍁🍂

The plan:
- make our own seasonal books
- go on a seasonal scavenger hunt in the park to look for signs of the season changing
- read this BEAUTIFUL book (one of my favorites we own!)
- read various verses & poems on seasons
- listen to Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ and use our for movement & play with each composition

I truly get so much joy from planning things like this!
