Rob Decker is a powerful voice in the world of recovery, trauma healing, and faith-based transformation. Once trapped in the darkness of addiction, childhood trauma, violence, and brokenness, Rob’s story is one of radical redemption—marked by a su***de attempt that became a supernatural turning point in his life. That moment, which he now calls God’s Awning, launched him into a life of purpose fueled by the relentless grace of Jesus Christ. Today, Rob is the founder of RISE AS LIONS, a Colorado-based movement and ministry that uplifts men and women in recovery through peer support, faith-centered outreach, and mental health centered recovery softball teams. His mission is clear: to help others heal through vulnerability, empathy, and the transforming love of Christ. His message is raw, honest, and full of hope—a testament that no one is too far gone for God’s mercy.
Rob has shared his story on national platforms such as CBN’s The 700 Club (twice) and TBN’s Life Today with James and Betty Robison, and his book God’s Awning continues to impact lives across the country.
A devoted husband, father, leader, and servant of the Most High, Rob lives every day on mission—to remind the broken, the lost, and the overlooked that they are never beyond the reach of God’s awning of protection and love.
