The Social Order Announces Wildcat, Coming to Downtown OKC in Late 2027
A new all-day concept at the corner of Main & Walker – Lunch, Supper, Saloon

OKLAHOMA CITY (April 14, 2026) – The Social Order is bringing its most ambitious concept yet to downtown Oklahoma City. Wildcat, a new all-day dining and hospitality destination, is set to open in late 2027 at 434 W Main Street, a long-coveted art deco corner building at Main & Walker that CEO and Founding Partner Brian Bogert has had his eye on since 2015.

The concept is rooted in a simple idea: bring back the heartbeat of downtown Main Street. In Oklahoma City's early days, the city's cafés and saloons were where people got their news, held town halls, and gathered as a community. Wildcat is a modern interpretation of that. Part European café, part intimate supper club, part neighborhood saloon, depending on the hour.

"Wildcat is where rebellious heritage meets worldly sophistication," said Bogert.

By day, sidewalk tables spill onto the street in a nod to the cafés of Paris. As the sun goes down, the energy shifts to a moodier, more intimate tone, but always anchored by a food and beverage program built on approachable sophistication and modern takes on forgotten recipes. The experience is guided by the philosophy: All Welcome, All Ways.

The name draws from Oklahoma history. Wildcatters, the risk-takers who drilled for oil on instinct and nerve, embodied the "strike while the striking's good" mentality that says everything about this project. Bold, irreverent, and confident, Wildcat was the only name that fit.

The team behind the project is strong. Architecture and design is led by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) with Modus Construction as the General Contractor, interiors by Philadelphia-based Rohe Interiors, and branding by Trackmeet. Together, they're building something that honors the building's Art Deco bones while layering in western and modern design influences, which Bogert describes as a "warm hug" upon entering.

Wildcat is expected to open late 2027.

Plans have been filed to open a new Crest Food Store along the booming Lake Hefner Parkway corridor.

Crest is to anchor a large retail development on the southwest corner of NW 150th and Portland/Hefner Parkway.

The proposed retail center would be directly north of Scheel’s Sporting Goods, which will anchor another large shopping center. Combined, the two developments would create one of the largest commercial sites in Oklahoma City.

Crest Foods is a family-owned grocery store chain in Oklahoma, with its corporate office in Edmond. The proposed location appears to be a near carbon copy of their latest store at Sooner and Covell in Edmond.

Work has already commenced at the Scheel’s site.

The entire Deer Creek area is booming, with a Walmart Supercenter underway at Memorial and Rockwell and the Grove Marketplace at Hefner Parkway and NW 178th.

The first phase of the new Hefner Golf Course Clubhouse opens today, March 9th.

The pro shop and golf check-in are now located in the new building. The existing snackbar will remain until the new one opens on the second level in a couple of weeks. Lake Hefner Golf Club

A 2nd phase will be constructed directly to the south and it will contain a new cart facility and a 2nd-level event space. Once complete, the entirety of the old building will be demolished.

The original clubhouse was built in the 1950s with improvements dedicated in 1964.

Maxwell’s, the new bar and restaurant set to open later this month, overlooks the lake and features an outdoor patio, a two-sided fireplace, lounge areas, two golf simulator bays, and a large bar. It is named in honor of Perry Maxwell, the designer of the course and considered “The father of Oklahoma golf”. There will also be a grab-and-go food and drink operation on the ground floor.

Phase II should start before the end of the year. Project architect is Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.

Will feature the same menu but offer more live music with indoor and outdoor stages, an outside booth for walk-up food orders and a significant patio area.

Longer-term plans include a rooftop bar.

The newly renovated Donnay Building at the Classen Circle complex has secured its first new tenant.

84 Hospitality Group (Empire Slice, Burger Punk, Goro, Elisabetta) is planning to open a cocktail bar and restaurant called Coco’s Cocktail Club, featuring a large wood/gas oven for snacks.

To be located on the second level below the restored martini glass sign, facing Edna’s near the new Classen Grill.

The 2-level former Hi-Lo space to the south is still for lease. The entire building has been transformed after decades of neglect.

Chris Pardo, who designed Elisabetta, is designing Coco's.

84 Hospitality is also planning to open a new Elice Slice Shop later this year in the Rose Creek Plaza at NW 164th and May.

Buc-ee’s is in preliminary discussions to open one of its popular stores in far west Oklahoma City.

In 2024, the Texas-based chain confirmed it was interested in expanding to Oklahoma.

OKCTalk has learned from reliable sources that the company has had preliminary discussions with the City of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) to open at I-40 and Cimarron Road, an area between El Reno and Yukon.

Due to the typical massive traffic in and out of a Buc-ee’s, it would be necessary for ODOT to completely rework the I-40 and Cimarron exchange. Currently, the intersection is a 2-lane road over the interstate with basic on- and off-ramps and stop signs.

The proposed area is just north of Clarence E. Page Airport and just within the city limits.

Buc-ee’s is a large draw with a huge selection of food and gift items as well as 80 to 120 gas pumps, which operate 24/7.

With 50 locations, this would be the first in the state.
