For decades, Steve Chrisman built a life around baseball. The former University of Tulsa Baseball Hall of Famer started playing at age 7, eventually becoming a junior college All-American and helping Tulsa finish as national runner-up in the 1969 College World Series.

“God gave me the ability to be accurate,” Chrisman said. “I was the only kid on the team to get those strikes.”

⛈️ Scattered rain and storms developed across western and southwestern Oklahoma this morning and are moving east.

Some storms could become strong, producing small hail, heavy downpours and frequent lightning. The overall severe weather threat remains low.

☀️ Rain exits later this morning, setting up a beautiful June afternoon with highs in the low to mid-80s, light winds and mainly dry conditions.

🥵 However, the break from the heat won't last long. Temperatures climb back into the 90s this weekend, with some locations nearing 100 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

🌩️ Storm chances stay low through the weekend before our next system arrives Sunday night. More details in the comments below ⬇️
