TIME TO RESET!!!

I've purged the page of references to any other pages. I'm made my point. There will be no "ARCTIC BLAST" near Thanksgiving to disrupt any of your plans so ENJOY!!!

It will be partly cloudy with temps in the 50's for Thanksgiving here in Oklahoma with good weather the day before and the day after as per the latest data.

WINTER MAY START EARLY THIS YEAR...

It appears that we may be moving into a very active stretch of WINTER WEATHER for the southern plains as the calendar flips to December. I'll do my best to post informative weather forecast and answer your questions best I can concerning any upcoming weather events. I'm not a fan of posting one liners with dramatic pictures with pretty graphics. Those that have been here a while know that most of my winter stuff is usually hand drawn. Just be aware of sources that post cropped out pictures that have no explanation of what you're looking at or SHARING!!

Feel free to drop stuff in the comments as usual and I'll give you my opinion on it.

It's gonna be a LONG WINTER in the META verse so get ready. As of the time of this post there is one run of one model this morning that as caused the internet to BLOW UP with the sky is falling so here it begins.

By the way I've been stocking up on my PUMPKIN SPICE for the winter. It says good until April so all good!! It's crazy that stores start phasing it out in December.

THANKSGIVING OUTLOOK

We are in range to post a confident forecast for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Using OKC as a central point it should be partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the 50's on Thanksgiving Day. Our normal high on TG day Nov 27th is 56-58 degrees. It will be slightly cooler for northern OK and slightly warmer for southern OK.

Precipitation is not expected in Oklahoma Wed Thurs or Fri of next week.

There are no signs of an ARCTIC BLAST or SNOW anywhere near Thanksgiving or any time over the next 10 days in Oklahoma so enjoy but know it's likely coming soon...

For those who are holding out for SNOW and colder WINTER weather we remain in an active storm pattern so the door is opened for something to come together during the first half of December in our area.

This is one run of one model so don't let your eyes focus too much on those temps past day 10 just yet. The reason those temps are so low is the model is calling for a WINTER STORM to push across the state with several inches of SNOW on the ground. There is very very low confidence in that happening 15 days out BUT it's always possible..

We will likely break the record for warmest NOV in OKC by at least 2 degrees. Previous record is 56.8 currently we are at 59.3.

DUST STORM WARNINGS in TEXAS

* At 233 PM CST, a wall of dust was along a line extending from 6 miles east of Anton to 4 miles northwest of Texas Tech University to near Slide, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong wind in excess of 50 mph.

SOURCE...Public.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.
