During National Surgical Technologist Week, MNTC Surgical Technology program visited the Oklahoma State Capitol to celebrate Surgical Technologist Proclamation Day with other Surgical Technology programs across the state.

This was an opportunity to recognize the invaluable contributions of surgical technologists, often the unsung heroes of the operating room.

Surgical technologists are vital members of the surgical team, ensuring that operations run smoothly by maintaining sterile environments, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons throughout procedures. Their precision, dedication, and ability to think on their feet help save lives and improve patient outcomes every day.

Wednesday Night: the risk for severe weather returns across all of Central and Western Oklahoma. This will include a TORNADO RISK.

Severe storms and very heavy rain will also bring in a flood risk.

Expect the threat to last deep into Thursday morning. It's been a while since we've had severe storms with a tornado risk in Oklahoma. Stay tuned!
