La' is third-generation American author, entrepreneur, and advocate for empowering women and supporting Black-Owned Businesses (BOBs). With an MBA in Project Management and a bachelor’s in operations management, she combines her business acumen with her passion for storytelling. Her journey began in music, where she wrote songs and lyrics, before transitioning into long-form writing. In 2024, she
embraced the challenge of becoming an author and building her own publishing company. As a self-published author, she handles every aspect of her business, from book formatting and marketing to website design and social media engagement. Drawing from her family’s South African heritage, La' infuses her work with themes of resilience, empowerment, and cultural pride. Though she is third-generation American, her grandfather’s South African roots continue to influence her storytelling and creative work. Her books are 100% original — written, researched, and crafted with a fresh perspective that is uniquely her own. La' continues to build a legacy that encourages others to pursue their dreams, break through barriers, and stay true to their authentic voice — all while uplifting fellow entrepreneurs, particularly women, and supporting BOBs.
