Q: I requested that you take down your story about the Charlie Kirk shirt issue at Arbor Creek Elementary, for the sake of the safety of students and staff. Why did you publish the story in the first place, and why didn’t you delete it when I asked?

A: There were several factors that led us to publish that story. First and foremost, the controversy over the issue was already having an impact on the day-to-day operations of the public school system that is at the heart of the community we cover.
