With the Denver Nuggets’ NBA Championship tonight, Kansas native Christian Braun becomes the fifth player in the history of basketball to win an NCAA title and NBA title in back-to-back seasons 🏆
Not only that, but it’s Braun’s 5th championship in 7 years.

Christian Braun, who grew up in Burlington, KS and prepped at Blue Valley North HS, is the fifth player ever to win an NCAA and NBA Title in consecutive seasons. Braun, who is a rookie first round pick after winning a title at KU under Bill Self last season, had seven points tonight in the Nuggets first ever NBA title as they won the series 4-1 over the Heat after five games. Braun was huge in game three where he had 15 points/4 rebs off the bench.
He also won three state titles at Blue Valley Northwest HS under legendary HC Ed Fritz. He was the 2019 all-classes player of the year from Sports in Kansas (pictured below in those days). Incredible. .
