FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, including the following
area, New Castle, New Jersey, including the following areas,
Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris,
Northwestern Burlington, Salem, Somerset and Western Monmouth, and
southeast Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Delaware,
Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks, Philadelphia,
Upper Bucks, Western Chester and Western Montgomery.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- Showers and thunderstorms with rainfall rates potentially of
1-2 inches per hour are expected across the watch area. In
urban locations, this will be enough to trigger flash
flooding.

FLASH FLOOD THREAT. Monday June 22nd
Severe weather is expected tomorrow along with a Flash Flooding threat.

While we desperately need rain, excessive rain in a short period of time does very little for areas in drought conditions. With dry hard soil, rain essential beads off and runs away instead of being absorbed into the ground So while storms may be somewhat progressive, the possible "repeating" rounds and intense rainfall rates (2-3"/hr) could lead to urban flash flood issues.

The Severe Threat for the next 3 days still remains with the only change of Thur and Friday being upgraded to include a chance of a Tornado possible. Wind will be the primary threat, however Hail and a Tornado or two may be possible.

NORTHERN LIGHTS Update 1 - ✹✹Beware of the phony Viewing Maps✹✹
Currently the CME is running a tad late. However as you can see with the Realtime ACE Satellite data the Solar Winds are ramping up as an impact is nearing. Also beware of the phone "Visibility Line" maps. Everyone feels the need to create their own version and are 100% Inaccurate.

FIRST off Elevation is key to seeing the Northern Lights. Its why people in the mountain regions of states further south can see the Northern Lights when people closer to sea level in states further north can barely or not even see them at all. This is one of the main reason these viewing maps are wrong.

And SECOND " SUB STORMS " Sub Storms are like a storm cloud building energy and then finally releasing that bright lightning bolt. That goes for the same with Solar Storms. The Aurora would be stable and low on the horizon and all of a sudden a burst of energy is released resulting in the Aurora becoming very large and very bright in a matter of minutes. However Sub storms are very brief but can happen several times.
