Ever since I first heard good things about the fried chicken sandwich at Gravy on Vashon Island, I made a point to go there on my next Vashon Island trip.
A few weeks ago, I made it there with my husband right at opening for lunch. Gravy is Black-owned and along with their staple chicken sandwich, they offer seasonal specials and different themed dinners on certain days.
We ordered:
- Fried Chicken Sandwich (about $22) - It came with two very large pieces of chicken, farm greens, and fries; definitely a bigger sandwich than I expected
- Fried Oyster Sandwich (about $22) - It also came with fries and farm greens
Our food tasted very fresh and was made to order. I preferred the oyster sandwich more than the chicken sandwich because the fried oysters had a different, slightly more seasoned breading. My husband loved the the chicken breading - just goes to show we all have different tastes for fried food hehe
We enjoyed our lunch and are glad we checked this restaurant out! We’ll have to try one of their themed dinners another evening.
📍Location: Gravy - 17629 Vashon Hwy SW, Vashon Island, WA - currently open Thursdays-Saturdays
💵 Price range; Expect to spend about $20-$25 per person
