Kennedi Branigan is a ceramic artist who has come a long way in her artistic journey. When Kennedi was seven she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. It was extremely aggressive, and actively taking over her body. Due to this she has lost the majority of the vision in her right eye and lost some sensation in her fingers and toes. Through it all she continued to play high level volleyball in college. She persevered through these complections until realizing all the lingering issues were too much on her body.

That’s when she turned to pottery to mute all of the chaos she was experiencing. “My love for pottery is definitely not a straight path. It was very frustrating when I wanted to succeed so badly but having the blockage of not seeing what I’m doing all the way and not having the full feeling of my fingers to really feel the clay was a huge setback mentally,” Kennedi said.

Just like every obstacle Kennedi faced before, this didn’t stop her. “I really had to teach myself it’s okay if your art isn’t perfect and that’s when pottery really became my comfort. Learning that your work is valuable because it’s not perfect was a huge breakthrough for me mentally,” she said. 🎨🏺

Kennedi learned that you just have to do it. She said, “waiting until you have the time, money, equipment - or in my case, waiting until you can feel your fingers, is just an excuse to make you feel content with not starting.”

Kennedi is a passionate person who tests boundaries. Whether that’s the boundaries of her art, or her body. “It’s a privilege to own a body that’s capable of having limits to test. What a better way to capture life’s ups and downs than putting your own personal growth into an art form that never expires,” she said.

Kennedi wants her studio space to be a place where people can come together to create memories. Whether that’s for date nights, hangouts, or for a creative outlet, her space provides that. Khao Kros is a LBGTQ+ creative artist who practices art in mostly charcoal and figure drawing but also creates work with paint, woodburning, graphic design and fashion design. 🎨🙂‍↕️

Khao recently left the corporate world to follow their passion and pursue art as a full time career. “I am currently building my online presence, searching for opportunities to display my art in physical spaces and build a clientele for commissioned work,” said Khao.

Khao originally used their art as a coping mechanism. “Art has always been my language when words fell flat – a way to untangle what’s going on inside and make sense of the world outside,” Khao said. Khao sharpened their skills to create contrasted forms with bold compositions, texture and movement.

Emotion is still a large part of their work. “My goal is simple but not small – I want to make you feel something. I want beauty that exists purely because it can. At the end of the day, my art is me – raw, honest, and not confined to a certain style. If it stirs something in you, then I’ve done exactly what I set out to do,” Khao said.

If you’re interested in seeing more of Khao’s work or commissioning a piece of your own check out their instagram or visit their website www.artbykhao.com.

Kathleen Brandle-Davis | North | is a digital artist who loves to draw kawaii animals and creatures. While North doesn’t have one specific style, her work has become easily recognizable! ✨💫

“I think my style is fun in the sense that I can draw something super cute and kawaii then do a more serious and detailed piece,” North said. North is utilizing her skills through a few different kinds of projects, one of which is creating a Webtoon in the future.

North draws inspiration from media like pokemon and warrior cats in her art, but wants to expand her work into other things like photography and whatever else inspires her. She is often inspired by story telling and has a passion for creating a variety of digital characters.

If you think her work is as cute as we do, go check out her Instagram page .stuidos to inquire about commissioning a piece of your very own!

Kamirah Nelson | Kam Abstract is an abstract artist based out of Austin, Texas. Kam approaches her work with a feelings first kind of mindset. She lets the brush and palette guide her hand to reveal the painting. “Each piece begins without a plan, only a pull – towards softness, memory, motion or resistance,” said Kam. 🎨

Kam’s paintings highlight the freedom of expression using color and movement. “My work lives in the in-between – where emotion becomes color, and intuition leads the way. Abstract art gives me freedom to release, to ask, to reveal,” Kam said.

Emotion is a leading factor in the creation of this work, which is then translated by the viewer, to have their own emotional response. “Through layers, texture, and tone, I try to make space for what’s hard to name but deeply known. My process is messy, spiritual, and rooted in presence – an ever-evolving language of healing, self-trust, and becoming,” Kam said.

Kam’s goal is to become an established artist who continues to have work displayed in galleries and homes. “The aspect I really enjoy about being an abstract painter is that there are no rules. You can be who you truly are while expressing it through color and movement,” Kam said.
