Omaha, is in bloom 🌸

Now through September, Dundee merchants are bringing a little extra botanical beauty to the neighborhood with floral storefronts, seasonal drinks, sweet treats, specialty products and so much more.

I took a walk through Dundee to see what’s blooming, with stops for the Flower Power Sour at and , the wildflower-scented candle at , the Lemon Blossom Shake at and a floral-themed drinks at .

And that’s only part of it!

Make an afternoon of it, explore the neighborhood, and see the full list of Dundee in Bloom specials and stops at visitdundeeomaha.com. Love you, Dundee!

opened in in April, and I’ve been meaning to try it since. Last week, we finally made it happen.

Even better, we happened to arrive during happy hour and even got a seat on the patio. Can’t beat that.

We tried a lot (can you blame us?) and I thought it was all really good. My jalapeño smash burger was especially 🔥. I will go back for that, and the prickly mojito.

Have you been? If you have, tell me what you got so I know for next time! And if you haven’t gone, I really do recommend it. Fun spot with solid food and drinks!

It’s been a minute since I’ve played Clue, but I’ve always loved a good murder mystery.

I got to preview CLUE: A Walking Mystery with , and I can officially report that our detective work paid off. We solved the case! 🕵️‍♀️

The experience takes you throughout the Holland Center and the new Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement as you search for clues, question suspects and try to piece together exactly what happened that fateful night. It’s interactive, a little competitive and honestly just a really fun way to spend an evening.

If you’re looking for something different to do in Omaha, I’d definitely recommend checking it out before it leaves on June 21.

Whenever a trip comes to an end, I always describe my feeling as melancholy. It’s a sweet sadness, one complicated by both my joy at returning home but also my deep appreciation for the experience I just had.

And as I prepare for another adventure, it’s always Anthony Bourdain’s words that remind me why I never stop moving.

There is so much more to see, and I’ll keep chasing that feeling of melancholy. What a privilege it is to feel a longing for a million different places.

Streetcar construction has been tough on so many businesses in Omaha. I’m a broken record on this one, I know, but it’s so important we support our favorite businesses that are impacted by road closures, difficult parking and more throughout it.

So, allow this to be a love letter to :

A staple in Blackstone since 2014, Nite Owl is known for really solid cocktails, a great food menu and an amazing happy hour. Over the years, I’ve ventured to Nite Owl for all kinds of reasons (usually food related, if I’m being honest — especially for random specials I can’t miss). It’s such a vibe too, with the raddest interiors and a solid patio.

But I mentioned that happy hour. It’s every day until 7pm, and all day Sundays. It’s perfect, truly.

The idea of losing places like Nite Owl bums me out. These are the spots that make Omaha what it is. So, if I can encourage you to get out and visit a spot like Nite Owl, please do.

And if you go, tell me what you ordered. K bye.

You know it’s spring when arrives ✨

But seriously, I love visiting Junkstock each spring and fall. It’s fun to just meander around and take it all in, and I inevitably always see both things I want and need. It’s hard not to want to take so much home 😅 (especially when I see so many vendors I love!)

But you have one more weekend to visit (May 8-10) if you missed this weekend! And this isn’t sponsored. I really just like going and thought you might like to come along too.

Peace, love and Junkstock, friends!

Have you been to ? Because you should go if you haven’t.

Vibes? Perfect. Drinks? Excellent too. Me drinking any drink with a sugar or salted rim? Chaos.

It was the giant open windows that drew us in, but the whole place is so great. 10/10. Big fan. Will be back.

Finally made it to an event I’ve wanted to attend for years… Bats Over Omaha! 🦇

Bats Over Omaha takes place every spring, and releases all of the bats they’ve collected and cared for over the winter back into the wild.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m glad to have gone! I will absolutely go again.

Shout out always to Nebraska Wildlife Rehab. And a shout out to for tagging along (and that final clip, if you stick around).

Hi, hello. Do you love vintage shopping?? Well, you’re in luck!

Dundee Vintage Market is this Sunday, April 19 (10–3) and it’s honestly just a really good time.

I go every time and there’s always something to snag. You know…clothes, random home stuff, things you didn’t know you wanted but now obviously need. The vendors are so good, and that’s a testament to Albany and Avers (who curates her shop so well too).

Plus it’s supposed to be sunny and mid-60s, so Dundee will be a vibe. Come shop!
