FYI—Publishing Opportunity
Chicago Black Policy Review at the University of Chicago is now accepting submissions for its 2026 edition.
Guided by our 2026 theme, Advancing Justice, Inspiring Change, we invite original, evidence-based policy writing that examines contemporary policy challenges and their realized impacts on Black and African Diaspora communities—domestically and globally.
We encourage policy professionals and practitioners, industry leaders, researchers, community leaders, organizational partners, and students across institutions, to contribute and enrich the policy discourse at this critical moment in history. Submissions are welcome across issue areas and formats including:
- Policy Analysis
- Policy-grounded Commentary / Op-Eds
- Research Analysis engaging recent peer-reviewed scholarship
Selected pieces submitted by Friday, April 24, 2026 will be published in our 2026 print edition, with online publications accepted and published on a rolling basis.
If you are working, at—or aspiring toward—the intersection of public policy, law, legislation, government, non-profits, social services, academia, STEM, national security, international relations, or related fields where lived lived experience informs policy, and are interested in contributing constructive, rigorous analysis to the public discourse, we welcome your submission.
First-time publishing? We are happy to support you through the process. Start early—and ask how.
