I'm a sucker for a remaster. My second listen is usually level matched to the original version for comparison. One of the things I wanted to do last year before the virus was to have some listening sessions here to discuss mastering and remastering. Talk about the musical and technical nuances between specific versions of albums. Maybe we can do it later this year...

Finally got a dbx Type II decoder to listen to this half-speed mastered "Super Disk" that I've had for over 20 years. Awesome vinyl sound with almost no noise!

Another song gets the Vari-Speed treatment! 105% Just a shade under a half-step. I know I could just click a button in a computer plugin to accomplish the task, but never when the mix is on tape. Keepin' it real...

I always enjoy and appreciate receiving physical copies of albums I work on. It's great to see (and hear) the artists final vision. But today a cassette showed up! I honestly can't remember the last time I got a cassette!
