From the CBS Atlanta newsroom, to projects for families, non-profits and large corporate clients, the relationship is without borders, strong and enduring.

We continue our series of monthly partner profile pieces, wrapping up the month of March by recognizing our partner, Alex Gooch of Purple Door Media.

Alex has been a trusted collaborator since 2020 - a relationship forged during the throes of the COVID pandemic.

He has since become a great friend, always delivering brilliant work, with integrity. We look forward to working with Alex whenever we have an opportunity to produce in the U.K. or across the European continent.

McLeod Media is a network of producers. Trusted collaborators, who’ve also become great friends, all over the world. When you get to know them, it makes you want to work them that much more.

No one has been by our side for longer, or has seen more of our growth journey, than Mike Thomas.

For McLeod Media, Mike Thomas regularly covers productions in the Southeast, traveling efficiently out of Atlanta, the world’s busiest airport.

Re-enactment video, 19th century. How did we pull this off?!?

Here, we dive into our archives, and some of the very first images captured around the time of the founding of McLeod Media, in 2013.

These images remain some of the most intricate, hard-earned, complex and rewarding visuals we’ve yet captured. Replete with costume rentals, actors (students, who graciously volunteered), period items, and locations that enabled us to make this documentary look like the real thing.

All of these actors amazingly donated their time and talent, else the production would not have been possible.

The 2.5 year-journey to make this documentary film for the 175th anniversary of Erskine College is a story in and of itself, a story that was in fact the first chapter in our company history. We acknowledge and give thanks to David Earle and Cliff Smith here, as the project never could have happened without them. There are so many others who were instrumental … a growing number have passed on, and it’s impossible to name everyone.

Without them, it’s hard to imagine McLeod Media getting the start that we needed, leading us to where we are today.

This next polar vortex and accompanying snow for much of the U.S. has us flashing back to a fun story, three years ago almost to the day.

Will Frampton spent 15 years broadcasting at stations across America. While living in Hingham, , Will returned to those broadcasting roots to file this report, highlighting the great work of the Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant (they worked minor miracles to keep the power on!)

Happy New Year!

As the temperatures bottom out across much of North America - we have warm memories of the 10 days we spent filming with Ravi Singh / Road Trip With Ravi, in the magical African bush.

August, 2023: cool mornings, and warm afternoon sun in and . Some of the most spectacular video and interviews we will ever capture.

Sunsets and sunrises that brought tears to our eyes. Being within a few yards of lions and lionesses, and their cubs. Hiking the land with native bushmen who’ve lived there for thousands of years.
