The final broadcast of River City Folk is this Sunday (27th) at 1:00. Tom May and his guests Michael Henchman and Dave Ross recently taped the final show at The Artichoke in Portland, Oregon. You'll want to tune in for this special hour of music and memories!
May and producer Clete Baker recently decided to hang it up after 40 years. KIOS began airing River City Folk in 2000 and the show has been a staple of our Sunday afternoon folk programming ever since. The show began in 1985 on KVNO here in Omaha. We want to thank Tom May and producer Clete Baker for bringing Omaha listeners the rich and diverse traditions of American folk music for these many decades. Well done gentlemen!

Debuting Sunday August 3rd at 1:00 PM, it's The International Americana Music Show from PRX. It's an hour of Americana music hosted by Michael Park, a native of Scotland now living in New York. The show began ten years ago and has built a strong following on public media.
Each week, the program features a selection of Americana music made solely by non-American artists, many of whom are being heard on American radio for the first time. Michal Park chats with some of the artists about their influences and their love for Americana music.
