Good morning! It's been a very busy morning here, lol. Have you ever woke up and had a morning of chaos?
It doesn't happen every morning here and trust me when I say I am so very thankful for that, Lord!, but today was one of those mornings. The youngest, Major was inconsolable and into everything, I wanted to tear my hair out, lol. All I wanted to do was use the restroom, make my coffee, and go outside with them, like we always do and listen to my morning devotional.
Instead, I was chasing the whit fluffy monster, who seemed to find any and all of my clothing he could reach. When he was successful, it would be taken into his sanctuary (kennel) where he proceeds to chew(mouthing), and shake it like he wanted it dead! Because this breed is prone to have resource guarding issues, we have to make a trade for me to regain my clothing and I need to ignore the naughty behavior as it will sink in that it's a fun game to play in the future. This fluffy monster was nonstop with the chase and received several exchanges/snacks before my coffee was even made.
Our morning outside was just a eventful as inside. He decided there was something of interest under the front portion of the house. I know when he gets like this he is inspired to dig furiously and it only takes a couple of good swipes before there's a crater 🤦♀️and I was determined to not have to start shoveling before my coffee this morning. Yes, coffee was made but not enjoyed. But the way, I had to reheat it several times today. Anyway, we needed to restart our day because this also set Sargent off into one of her shrilling, ear piercing barking fires. She can't stand it when her brother isn't listening or following the protocol!
I hope you all have a good feeling or visual to the start of my day... lol. We started over by all going to our quiet places, kennels and my sitting place where I find comfort and peace. At the end of my bed on the puppy steps in front of their kennels. All of us breathing deeply and looking for that peace to start out day. I took a deep breath and said, we are going to pray to Jesus to help us find a better way today. Both Doodes fell asleep and I was able to listen to my devotional. In peace in order to hear and meditate on what the message was.
This has become vitally important to me in the last 4 months. It's been a goal of mine now for almost 8 months. There hasn't been a morning I've missed. It might have been later in my morning some days, like today but I didn't miss it. It truly make a difference.
Why am I telling you this story? Because that's what I was lead to do today. To share my life and my gifts with others as I've been asked to do as a believer.
