National Night Out is held on the first Tuesday in August every year since 1984. The event aims to promote community safety. Residents and police programs are promoted within our local neighborhoods to improve safety and to take a stand against criminals. The event originally began with people leaving porch lights on and sitting outside of their properties. Today some neighborhood watch programs organize community BBQ’s games, and get-togethers. Whatever you decide to do, do it together!
