Three years ago, we started a nonprofit called Global Roots Academy with a dream that felt huge.
Three years later, some of the wildest parts of that dream are beginning to come to life because of an incredible community that saw the vision, believed in it, and aligned with it in a way we had never experienced before.
We created Global Roots Academy to expand access to culture, travel, language, and meaningful educational experiences for children from historically underserved communities, while also creating spaces where kids feel seen, accepted, and surrounded by community.
Being able to take the kind of education abroad experiences we’ve created for our own boys and begin curating them for other children has been the ultimate dream.
To actually see that it’s possible to bridge that gap and to watch it happening in real time feels unreal.
