Long before we started talking to him about death, he was explaining to US how it works. If you’ve been here long enough you remember him talking about reincarnation and his past life when he was 4yo. This kid never fails to fascinate me with his level of intuition.

Sidenote: Yes he’s dirty. He is a wild child. Yes that is dirt on his face and a rock in his hand. He was playing outside and came across a dying baby bird and stayed with him until he passed 🥺

Melanin and matsuri magic. 🏮✊🏾 Culture isn’t just something we study; it’s something we experience. The energy in Asakusa this weekend was completely indescribable, a beautiful reminder that the world is our classroom and we belong everywhere.

Quick Overview: We spent the weekend immersed in the Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa, Tokyo, one of the city’s oldest, wildest, and most spectacular traditional festivals, celebrating the three founders of the iconic Senso-ji Temple. 🇯🇵🔥
