In honor of Indigenous Peoples Day, let’s take a moment to celebrate the rich diversity of Indigenous cultures and traditions across the world. Indigenous people are not a monolith—each nation, tribe, and community carry its own unique history, language, and customs. Our strength lies in this diversity, and each voice brings invaluable knowledge and perspective. Whether it’s in the fight for land rights, environmental stewardship, or cultural preservation, we honor the countless contributions of Indigenous peoples. Today and every day, we must recognize and uplift Indigenous voices, reaffirming that we all have value and that every community's story matters.

Ballots have arrived, and we continue to distribute campaign signs. Although grassroots campaigning can be challenging, I derive significant satisfaction from engaging with new individuals and witnessing the widespread support from our municipal employees.

Cast your vote!

Voting is super important! It's our way to shape the future and have a say in the issues that matter to us, like education, healthcare and the environment. Everytime you cast a ballot you are making your voice heard and standing up for your community. Remember it's not just a right, it's a responsibility. Let's make sure we all get out there and vote.

Voting is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape the future of our communities. For years, I’ve been deeply passionate about encouraging voter registration because it’s more than just casting a ballot—it’s about representation. It’s about standing up for communities that haven’t always been heard or seen. Whether it’s Native American voices, women like me who continue to fight for involvement, or those who believe in the transformative power of higher education, your voice matters.

Being able to attend an Ivy League institution and now pursuing a master’s program is not just a personal achievement, it’s a reflection of the power of opportunity, hard work, and perseverance. Being in spaces we aren’t accustomed to, like on the ballot or in leadership roles, brings a wave of emotions. It reflects the years of sacrifice and commitment to showing that representation truly matters.

At the heart of it all is my belief that community is family, and family is love. Seeing my journey and advocacy come to fruition is a reminder that we belong in every space where decisions are made and that we must uplift and protect the communities that feel like home.
If you haven’t registered yet or need to update your registration, now is the time! Visit registertovote.ca.gov and make sure your voice is heard.

Let’s do our part to inspire others to join us because together, we can make real, lasting change.

I would be honored to have your vote for Ontario City Clerk on or before November 5th.

Today, we honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of California's Native American communities. As we reflect on the strength and resilience of our ancestors, I am proud to stand with my community and carry the torch forward in the spirit of service, education, and advocacy.

As a Native American candidate for Ontario City Clerk, a Research Scholar, Outreach Specialist, and a Master’s Student in Instructional Design and Technology, I am deeply committed to creating spaces where people can see themselves and represent themselves. Everyone deserves a seat at the table, and I will work to ensure our voices are not just heard but truly represented in local government.

With a B.S. in Public Health and a degree in Gerontology, I understand the importance of equitable access to resources, and I’m passionate about advocating for non-traditional aged students to pursue higher education. Learning is a lifelong journey, and everyone should have the opportunity to grow and succeed, no matter their age or background.

Let’s continue to honor the wisdom of our elders, protect the sacredness of our lands, and strive for a brighter, more inclusive future—together.

Thank you for your support, and let’s keep building a legacy that future generations can be proud of.
