GOOD MORNING ☀️
DAY 3 OF OUR DAILY ADVENT BIBLE READING AND JOURNALING PROMPTS
DEVOTIONAL READING: Advent invites us to slow down and remember that God's answer to the darkness of this world was His only Son a CHILD, a Savior wrapped in vulnerability but carrying authority. Isaiah's prophecy reminds us that Jesus didn't simply arrive; He was given to save us. Heaven offered its greatest gift so that earth could receive unending hope.
Each Name of Jesus carries a promise:
-WONDERFUL COUNSELOR: He guides us with wisdom when our paths feel confusing or heavy.
-MIGHTY GOD- He is strong where we feel weak; His power overcomes what overwhelms us.
-EVERLASTING FATHER- He brings stability, identity, and unchanging love in a world full of inconsistency.
-PRINCE OF PEACE- He governs with peace, not chaos; with order, not fear. His peace is not fragile- it is increasing.
As we enter this Advent season, this prophecy invites us to shift our focus from earthly instability to the everlasting stability of His Kingdom.

REFLECTION PROMPT:
Which name of Jesus in Isaiah 9:6 speaks most to my heart today and why?
Where area of your life are you trying to carry that which should be "upon His shoulder" instead?

GOOD MORNING- ADVENT DAY 2: THE PROPHESY OF THE MESSIAH
DEVOTIONAL READING: Micah 5:2 is a prophecy tucked quietly into a minor prophet, yet it declares one of the most atonishing truths of Advent: GOD BRINGS THE GREATEST HOPE OUT OF THE SMALLEST PLACES. Bethlehem was tiny, overlooked, insignificant -"too little to be among the clans." No one expected greatness to come from there. But God intentionally chose the small, hidden, and humble place to bring forth the Messiah.
THIS IS THE RHYTHM OF GOD'S HEART:
-He chooses the unexpected
-He uses what the world calls "too little"
-He brings glory from places we wouldn't pick.
Advent reminds us that Jesus came in weakness, in obscurity, and in humility. God still moves that way today- He enters the quiet corners of our lives, the places we think are insignificant, the seasons that feel too small to matter. As you wait in this Advent Season remember: YOUR SMALLNESS DOES NOT DISQUALIFY YOU; IT POSITIONS YOU FOR GOD'S GLORY.

REFLECTION PROMPT:
Where do you feel "too little" right now- a situation, relationship, dream, habit, or area of weakness?
How might God want to bring something meaningful or miraculous out of that small place? Ask God to show you His perspective.

DEVOTIONAL READING: Isaiah 7:14 is a prophecy spoken into a moment of fear, uncertainty, and political pressure; similar to some of the feelings we are facing in the world right now. Yet God responded with a promise, IMMANUEL, "GOD WITH US." This was not only a sign for ancient Judah but the foundation of our ADVENT HOPE.

REFLECTION PROMPT: Where do you most need to be reminded that God is "with you" in the season? What signs of God's presence have you noticed recently, even small ones?

Good morning ☀️ Verse of Day

Fear focuses our attention on ourselves and on things we do not need to consider. It fills our minds with hypothetical situations that all end in defeat and ruination. Eventually, it utterly consumes us. This is why we cannot shrink back in obeying God and using the gifts He has given us because he is ultimately in control of our futures, and we are never victims of our circumstances. We are overwhelmingly triumphant in Christ, and we must act like it.

REMEMBER: No matter where we are at today or what we are going through God is right there with us. We are never alone in any situation. In the moments we do ask God help you feel His presence. 😊

Good morning ☀️

The entire promises of Psalm 91 are for those who dwell in God’s secret place. Not those who go to church or only quote the Psalm. You may be a regular church person but not dwelling in God’s secret place. You may also know Psalm 91 more than everyone in your community, but are you residing in the secret place?

God’s secret place is His presence. To abide under the shadow of the Almighty, and it should be our ultimate goal to remain there daily.

WEEK 6 - DAY 2: PENTACOST AND THE HOLY SPIRIT'S COMING

Today God dwells in the hearts and lives of all who place their faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are filled with God's Spirit the moment we accept Christ as our personal Savior. We are not repeatedly refilled. We have all we are going to recieve of the Spirit at salvation. However as we grow in our walk with the Lord, we learn about God's Ways, Character, and Presence within us through His Spirit.
