WEEK 3 DAY 6- We live by faith, not by sight.

It is easy to become distracted by the fallen nature of our bodies. But Paul writes that we are supposed to walk by faith and not by sight because we await the resurrection of our bodies. This means that we do not have to fear death or suffering (Jn 17:3). One day, we will see the Savior and receive a perfect body that is unaffected by the sin and destruction of this broken world.

True faith changes the heart. Real prayer dismantles pride and vengeance, filing the hikes with love. Real faith seeks peace. For our churches to have prayer, power, harmony, and forgiveness must be evident in the body of believers. Let go hurts, abandon grudges, and forgive others.

A right relationship with God is based on faith, the heartfelt inner confidence that God is who He says He is and does what He says He will do. Right actions will follow naturally as a byproduct. Even when Abram did not see how God could fulfill His gracious promise to him regarding an heir, He trusted the Lord anyway. He looked beyond what he could see to what God could see.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING WEEK 3- DAY 3: JAMES 2:17-18

Good works done in obedience to God are evidence of our faith. They do not earn or purchase our salvation. If we say we know Jesus Christ as our Savior, there must be proof of it- there must be confirmation that the Holy Spirit is molding us into the likeness of Christ. This does not mean an artificial change in behavior, but one that stems from the transformation of our very character.

Faith is the confidence that the Lord will do what He has promised us. It's not us having wishful thinking. It is the belief that God is not only willing but will accomplish all He has promised to us, regardless of how our circumstances may appear or what obstacles we may have to overcome. Remember our confidence in God is never in vain, "He who promised is faithful"- Hebrews 10:23
